Chief Talent and Culture Officer, Asia Pacific

AccorHotels in Asia Pacific expands across 17 countries, 16 brands, 760 Hotels and 93 500 employees. In charge of the human resource function for the region, Christine’s focus is on developing local talent to lead hotel teams in order to meet the rapid growth of hospitality in the region.

Christine has been a member of the Accor family for over 25 years, having worked in twelve hotels and several corporate offices. Her achievements have been recognised by Tourism Training Australia with a National Tourism Legend Award in 2009 and by Accor with a Silver Bernache for Innovation in 2010.

Having a Masters in Human Resource Management and a Bachelor of Applied Science in Recreation, Christine commenced her hotel adventure in Australia as an Activities Manager for a beachside resort. Loving the industry she decided to pursue a career in hotel management and worked in all areas of hotel operations including General Manager.

Christine’s passion has always been in developing talent within the organisation, so the move into human resources was a natural progression. Having held previously the roles of Regional Learning and Development Manager for Queensland, Regional Human Resource Manager for NSW, National Director Learning and Development for Australia, Christine moved to Singapore in 2011 as Director of Academie Accor Asia Pacific and was subsequently promoted to VP Learning and Talent Development - Asia Pacific.

After spending 2016 on a secondment in the Talent Management team in Paris to lead the rollout of a global leadership capability framework and to assist in the FHRI integration taskforce, Christine returned to the region in January 2017 to take up the position as Chief Talent and Culture Officer.
